TD Barnes, author of the EMP series, fears the next terrorist 9/ll being an EMP

It’s not a matter of if, but a question of when the Islamic State will hit American with another 9/ll. All the terrorists need is a device that they can easily carry across the open Mexican border or in the belly of a freighter into any US port. Such an event would devastate North America, take out its electric grids, anything electronic, leaving millions to defend themselves and family to survive.

Nuclear Winter, Book One of the EMP Series, TEOTWAWKI, “The end of the world as we know it,” happens as the planet reels from an orbital EMP attack that leads to a global nuclear war.
The ensuing nuclear winter blankets the planet, killing off 90 percent of humanity.
Defense Intelligence Agency electronic whizz, US Army Col Thomas Bradley, takes command of a mixed assortment of survivors taking shelter in Nevada’s uncompleted Yucca Mountain Nuclear Waste Repository.
They fight for their survival as an army of militant survivors takes siege in an attempt to destroy them for their sanctuary. Spanning two years, they learn how to survive living underground, not knowing what to expect when they finally emerge.
After two years underground, they find roving storms carrying radioactive fallout now besieging the planet devoid of the survivors’ calendar seasons once knew. Worse yet, the survivors learn that they are still at war with the Islamic jihadists who started the war in the first place. Then, finally, the nuclear winter returns to force the survivors back into their underground refuge.

Nuclear Spring, Book two of the EMP Series, two years have passed since the EMP and bomb attacks, creating a nuclear winter of global magnitude. The EMP attack laid to waste the electric power grids and electronics of much of the world. Ninety percent of the world’s population has perished from the wars and the prolonged effects of the EMP attack, followed by the bombs that created a nuclear winter.
Col Thomas Bradley and his group of survivors briefly venture out of their underground refuge to face a jihadist battle. Central and South American Islamic activists seeking to escape the nuclear winter now engulfing the planet are intent on this region becoming an Islamic caliphate. Samantha avenges her mother’s death at the hands of an Islamic jihadist when she leads the survivors to repel those seeking to take control of the mountain.
While the survivors replenish the food and supplies needed to carry them through another siege by the nuclear fallout, they also repel many assaults and attacks. The survivors place the jihadist war on hold when forced to resume shelter inside the mountain as the radiation returns. Inside the mountain, they prepare to fight for survival once the radiation outside subsidies and the jihadist attacks resume.
Nuclear Summer, Book 3 of the EMP Series, the nuclear winter survivors in Yucca Mountain spend two years preparing to repel attacks by migrating South American Islamic jihadists seeking to establish an Islamic caliphate.
The nuclear winter that blanketed the globe has now reduced to storms influenced by the roving jet stream.
The survivors split, most taking refuge in the North Las Vegas Veteran’s Hospital with hopes of restoring society. A small group remains at the mountain to defend it.
Samantha leads a battle that ensues at the Hoover Dam just ahead of global weather changes that deliver radioactive dust from an El Nino storm. The survivors once again seek cover. But then, tragedy strikes with unimaginable consequences.

By the Sword, Book Four of EMP Series, six years have passed since the EMP attack, the bombs, and nuclear winter.
The war continues as survivors fight to restore peace against migrating jihadist extremists seeking to establish an Islamic caliphate.
The jihadists again attempt to take control of the Hoover Dam and Colorado River and are defeated by the survivors, this making Yucca Mountain a target that the Jihadists must destroy.
The survivors in Nevada realize that to survive, they must live by the sword. So the survivors team up with an Israeli network engaged in tracking the Jihad’s movements and field a preemptive strike led by Samantha against the caliphate. In the process, the strike rescues a band of Mayan farmers enslaved by the caliphate.

TD Barnes, author of “The Unit,” predicted what would happen in Afghanistan.

As depicted in “The Unit,” the president follows the Hillary Clinton Benghazi, Libya playbook by first burying the CIA to avoid leaving “any shadows,” any Intel to expose the administration’s short-sightedness and lack of compassion for those supporting the US military in its war against terrorism. Today we see, as depicted in The Unit, the Taliban targets the US and Canadian embassies during the Biden abandonment of Afghanistan.

In The Unit, the US president withdraws the military from the endless Mideastern wars, tasking the CIA with deterring terrorist attacks on Israel, the United States, and the coalition.

With “do whatever it takes” and “with plausible deniability “as its rules of engagement, the Unit pushes the edges of the envelope to survive and to meet its objective.

Former Army Captain Bradley, now a rising star in the CIA’s Military Affairs Division, is chosen to head a multiagency Terrorist Intervention Unit in Afghanistan as the US withdraws all military troops. His orders are “do what you have to do” and with “plausible deniability.

Already on the Taliban’s hit list from an earlier posting in the region while in the Army, Captain Bradley resorts to PSYOPS and 6th generation warfare to protect the Unit.

Staffed with specialists picked from the Central Intelligence Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency, DOD engineers from Area 51, and a Special Agent from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Unit acts as a deterrent against terrorism as the Taliban and other Islamic activists fill the vacuum left by the troop withdrawal. Yet, few know the Unit’s mission is a one-of-a-kind attempt to ward off all-out war in the Middle East.
